Gear Equipment Set-up / Operator
Responsible for proper operation of gear equipment, routine maintenance, and quality of parts in process.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for proper operation of gear equipment: routine maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, quality of parts in process, and efficiency of machines in processing (tools are sharp, least downtime between cycles).
- Operate various gear manufacturing equipment: shapers, hobbers, bevel gear generators and related cutting tool sharpeners.
- Aid in other machine shop functions as deemed necessary within the person's capabilities.
- Some set-up experience is a plus; we can train the right candidate.
